my name is Kasha Puzey.

I’m a creator.  I love to create with food, especially sugar.  I make cake toppers, cakes, treats, and much more.  

My fondest memory as a child was when my cousins and I built beautiful cakes out of mud pies.  I had a knack for baking, even if it meant sitting out in the sun all day long, waiting for the mud cakes to dry.  

Every Christmas I would ask for an Easy Bake Oven, because I LOVED to cook.  I'm so grateful my mother didn't get me a small oven, but taught me how to bake and cook on a full size, somewhat intimidating oven when I was a child.  

I have always been drawn to the cooking channels, soaking up as much as I could from the professionals and being inspired by their many creations.  Many times, I would try out their recipes, fail, learn from my mistakes and try again with amazing results.  My recipe card stack began to get bigger and bigger, and my abundance of recipe books began to fill my cupboards, now overflowing, yet I continue to collect and try out many recipes to find the treasures among the dross.  

January 2012 was a monumental point in my life.  I was trying to find my passion, my purpose.  My soon-to-be sister-in-law had asked me to make her a wedding cake.  I had never made a wedding cake before in my life, but I had an abundance of knowledge and wanted to try it out.  I bought all the tools needed to make gum paste flowers and started to experiment and play around with the tools.  I felt like I was a child again, playing with Play Doh, yet I was making BEAUTIFUL flower creations.  I remember telling the mother of the bride that I had FOUND my passion.  After being asked by several people to make them cakes, I decided I needed to start a blog so that more people can learn that there are so many possibilities when it comes to creating with sugar.
