WHAT YOU NEED
- Ultimate Chocolate Cake Recipe
- Peanut Butter Frosting Recipe
- Caramel Italian Meringue Butter Cream Frosting Recipe
- Salted Caramel Sauce Recipe
- Simple Syrup Recipe
- 6" cake pan
A day or two in advance make the Chocolate Cake, peanut butter frosting, caramel sauce, caramel Italian buttercream frosting, and simple syrup by following the recipes. Freeze the cake once it has cooled completely. When you are ready to decorate the cake, pull it out 30 minutes before you start decorating.
Line a cookie sheet with some parchment paper. Melt some tempered chocolate and spread it out onto the parchment paper, creating a thin layer. Sprinkle on some peanuts and set it aside so it can cool completely.
Simple syrup the cakes by placing a generous amount of syrup over the top of the cake. Take your 6" round cake board and place a dollop of frosting in the middle of the cake and then place the first layer of cake onto the board. Frost the middle of the cake with the peanut butter frosting and then sprinkle some peanuts over the top of the peanut butter frosting. Place the second layer of cake on top of the peanuts. Crumb coat the cake with the caramel frosting and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Cover the cake completely with the caramel frosting and smooth it out. Next press chopped up peanuts into the side of the cake. Drizzle some caramel sauce over the top of the cake, allowing the excess to drip off the edge. Break up the chocolate shards and place the pieces on top of the cake. You are ready to cut into this cake.
As always, keep it creative and I will see you in my next video!
